From midnight onwards, the fire department received dozens of calls to help move people to safe locations. There are problems with transportation, as roads have closed due to landslides or damage to the road network, fallen trees and cables. In many cases, the water has exceeded 60 cm, making access impossible for rescue teams.

There are big problems due to flash floods in many areas of the prefecture of Larissa, mainly in the municipalities of Kileler and Farsala. The last village to be evacuated in the early hours of the morning was Achillio, Farsala, while there were quite a few villages in Larissa that needed to be evacuated during the night and early morning.

Since Wednesday night, the Larissa Fire Service has been operating non-stop, trying to deal with the flooding phenomena once again.

Scenes of extensive destruction confronted the crews of the municipalities and regional authorities of Magnesia at the first light of day in Volos, but also in the entire prefecture.

Moreover, efforts were being made to restore the electricity and water supply. Since Wednesday, the river Krausidonas overflowed its banks, driving huge volumes of water into the streets of the city.

The ring road of Volos was not accessible in many places, while serious problems occurred at the junction toward Agria in Volos, where the roads had become rivers.

Several areas in Volos also remained without power since Wednesday afternoon.

There were continuous calls to the Fire Service to rescue people in various parts of the city, while more than 330 people were transferred to safe locations.

Most of the problems were in the city of Volos, as well as in Alykes and Agria.

The roads had turned into torrents and the water in many cases exceeded 50 centimeters.
