Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will have a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, on Tuesday, at 10:00, at the Maximos Mansion. Statements to the press will follow. At 11:00, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, will receive Metsola at the Presidential Mansion. Metsola will then meet with the president of the Hellenic Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, at the Hellenic Parliament. At 12:00, the president of the European Parliament will address the Hellenic Parliament, before five parliamentary committees: the Special Standing Committee on European Affairs, the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs, the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice and the Standing Committee on Production and Trade. The topic of her speech is “The EU ahead of the European Elections.” Metsola will meet with representatives of opposition parties, while later in the day she will talk to young people at the Athens Conservatory, about issues that concern them ahead of the upcoming European elections on June 9, 2024.
