Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the need to renew negotiations to resolve the Cyprus issue during a meeting with Erdogan at the NATO summit in Washington.
The Cyprus issue stems from the 1974 Turkish invasion and occupation.
Despite numerous UN resolutions and international condemnations, Turkey continues its illegal occupation.
Greece and Cyprus seek a solution within UN frameworks, emphasising sovereignty and EU legal compatibility.
