Tirana, Albania – July 18, 2024 – In a symbolic move aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, the Albanian Parliament today passed a declaration urging the Greek government to formally repeal its 1940 declaration of war. The historical declaration was issued by Athens after Mussolini’s Italian forces launched an invasion of Greece from Albanian territory, then under Italian occupation.
