Commenting on the progress of tax filings so far, and based on Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) data, the ministry said that from the start of filing on April 25, 2024 until its announcement, a total of 6,068,600 individuals had filed their taxes. Legal entities had filed 252,542 declarations so far, since the filing for them started on May 1. So far, of the total declarations to be filed, 93.3% of individuals have filed already and 81.8% of legal entities have.

However, in order for individual taxpayers to benefit from a 3% cut on tax owed if they paid outright, they still have to file until July 31, the ministry said.
