PM Mitsotakis Promises Swift Compensation for Fire Victims in Attica

Mitsotakis made the commitment on Thursday while attending the Dormition of the Virgin Mary celebrations in Sternes Akrotiriou, Chania.

During his visit, Mitsotakis expressed gratitude to firefighters and volunteers who battled the blaze and emphasised the importance of unity and reflection. He urged Greeks to overcome polarisation and toxicity, highlighting that national progress depends on collective effort.

Mitsotakis also praised Greece’s Armed Forces, underscoring the government’s commitment to strengthening them amid turbulent times. He reiterated the government’s promise to expedite compensation for those impacted by the fire, assuring them that the state would act swiftly.

In his address, Mitsotakis hoped that the day of reflection would inspire citizens to unite and tackle future challenges together, extending his best wishes to Greeks across the country.
