Skylakakis pre-announces subsidies on electricity bills and in September

Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis pre-announced subsidies on electricity bills and in September, speaking on Friday to the radio RealFM.

According to Skylakakis, there are resources from taxation and the subsidy is also being considered in September, until there is a de-escalation of prices, but a wait-and-see attitude is maintained by the government, until the final prices are announced by the providers.

The minister said that in the autumn a de-escalation of prices is expected due to the normal decrease in demand and also due to the entry of new renewable sources.

It is reminded that the new tariffs for September will be announced by the providers by Sunday at the latest.
