Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger’s Wedding Celebration Begins in Kalamata

Breaking from tradition, the couple’s wedding will be neither religious nor civil. Instead, they have opted for a hybrid ceremony set for the afternoon of August 31 on the beach at the luxurious “Costa Navarino” resort. The serene location was chosen to maintain privacy and intimacy, allowing only invited guests to witness their vows unless otherwise decided by the couple.

Festivities commence this evening with a pre-wedding party at the “Between” bar in the “W” hotel. Guests are encouraged to dress in white for this event. Tomorrow, the celebration continues with a Nigerian-themed party, paying homage to Giannis’s heritage. The main ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 1st.

Kalamata airport is bustling with activity as approximately 200 guests, many traveling from abroad, arrive via private jets and helicopters. Among the attending dignitaries are the four owners of the Milwaukee Bucks, underscoring the significance of the event. The group includes 30 very important VIPs, all granted access to the resort’s helicopter services for seamless transfer.
