PASOK-KINAL announces more than 950 polling stations for party’s leadership elections

The opposition PASOK-Movement for Change party on Tuesday announced that 950 polling stations will be set up around the country where the party’s members and friends can cast their vote next Sunday, in the internal elections for the selection of the new PASOK-KINAL leader.

The polling stations will be open between 7:00 on Sunday morning and 19:00 on the evening of the same day, while it is possible that this time may be extended in places where there appears to be a lot of voter traffic.

The vote is open to anyone aged over 16 who is a permanent resident of Greece, including foreign nationals who are legally resident in the country. The only condition is that they are or become registered PASOK members, or state a desire to become a friend of PASOK, while also signing an official statement that they are not members of any other party. This process can be done at polling stations for a fee of 3.00 euros, while those voting must have either a police ID or other official document as proof of identity (for example, a driving licence or passport).
