The agreement had been signed in Beijing on November 3, 2023 by Infrastructure & Transport Minister Christos Staikouras, who was member of a delegation by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to China.
Speaking of the agreement, Staikouras said after the ratification that it “opens significantly Greece’s developmental prospects, while essentially strengthening its global imprint as a country as well as a partner and member of the European Union.”
Among others, the agreement will upgrade the institutional and business framework between Greece and China, incorporating updated technological and economic rules and international ones, including the EU-China horizontal aviation agreement of 2019.
