Parliament: PASOK moves to the offices of the opposition

They will carry desks, chairs and personal belongings - Yesterday SYRIZA delivered them to the Parliament

The process of moving PASOK’s offices in Parliament began at noon on Friday, to those with the number “69” where SYRIZA was located until yesterday, and traditionally the party that is in the position of the main opposition is entitled to it.

Now, the PASOK president will be housed in the luxurious office “69” which is permanently located on the ground floor of the Parliament Building and in the corner opposite the prime minister’s wing.

In the past, George Papandreou, who was the last PASOK president to use the office as leader of the main opposition, in the period 2004-2009, Antonis Samaras, Alexis Tsipras, and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, organized their opposition attacks from there.

The spatial changes and relocations in the parliament building began yesterday, following the new split in SYRIZA and the independence of Theodora Tzakris and Giotas Poulos, which resulted in PASOK now being the main opposition party, as it is the second in number of MPs.

SYRIZA workers vacated Nikos Pappas’ office on Thursday, while SYRIZA employees who had their offices there also left. The lock was then changed.
