Amazon Invests in Greece’s Green Future with New Wind Farms

Amazon has announced a significant investment in three new utility-scale wind farms in Greece, marking its largest renewable energy deal to date.

This move aligns with Amazon’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon across its operations by 2040 and supports Greece’s goal of transitioning to a more sustainable energy future.

The three wind farms in the Vermio and Peloponnese regions are expected to generate enough clean energy to power nearly 200,000 Greek homes annually. This investment will contribute to Greece’s renewable energy targets and create new jobs and stimulate economic growth in the regions where the wind farms are located.

By partnering with Aer Soléir, a leading developer and owner of sustainability infrastructure, and securing financing from the National Bank of Greece, Amazon demonstrates its commitment to sustainable development and its ability to drive positive change.
