The Greek island of Skopelos has earned a coveted spot on Goodhousekeeping.com’s annual list of the 10 best European beach destinations for 2025, coming in at number four.

The website, a popular resource for millions of travelers in the UK and US, praised Skopelos as the “quintessential Greek island,” perfectly capturing the idyllic charm showcased in the film Mamma Mia.

This collaboration features set designs inspired by Skopelos’s charming streets and squares, alongside promotional materials highlighting the island as a travel destination. The combination of Greek cuisine, a talented cast, and the Mamma Mia theme has generated significant international media attention for both the show and Skopelos. A related online competition organized by the municipality and Mamma Mia The Party garnered impressive engagement, with 280,000 views and a reach of over 220,000 social media accounts.
