Liverpool in Negotiations with Nurnberg for Greek Prodigy Stefanos Tzimas

Nurnberg, who plan to activate their €18 million purchase option for Tzimas, aim to capitalize on his rising market value by facilitating a summer transfer. As of now, the German club has set a price tag of €25 million plus potential add-ons and has notified several interested parties, including Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Aston Villa.

Securing Tzimas could potentially mark the beginning of the end for Darwin Nunez at Liverpool. Since his £85 million transfer from Benfica, Nunez has shown flashes of brilliance but has struggled with consistency in front of goal, prompting Liverpool to explore new striker options.

The acquisition of Tzimas might pave the way for Nunez to leave the club temporarily or permanently, potentially on a six-month loan to gain more consistent playing time. Additionally, Liverpool’s pursuit of Tzimas could signal a possible loan move for academy talent Jayden Danns, who recently impressed by scoring in their FA Cup match against Accrington Stanley.
