Today (Friday): The weather will be generally clear throughout Greece, with some light cloud cover expected in the western regions from the afternoon onwards. Winds in the Aegean will come from the north at 5-6 Beaufort, while in other parts of the country, winds will be variable, ranging from 3-4 Beaufort. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 17-20°C in most areas, and up to 22°C in some inland regions.

From today, Friday, until Monday, we can expect plenty of sunshine across the country, with maximum temperatures reaching around 20°C. Starting on Tuesday, southerly winds will strengthen, along with some patchy clouds, dust from Africa, and local rain showers, mainly in the northern regions. Temperatures in central and southern Greece could even rise to 24-25°C.

Today (Friday): The weather will be generally clear throughout Greece, with some light cloud cover expected in the western regions from the afternoon onwards. Winds in the Aegean will come from the north at 5-6 Beaufort, while in other parts of the country, winds will be variable, ranging from 3-4 Beaufort. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 17-20°C in most areas, and up to 22°C in some inland regions.

In Athens, the weather will be clear with light north winds at 3-4 Beaufort, and locally up to 5 Beaufort in the eastern parts. The temperature will reach 20-21°C.

In Thessaloniki, clear skies are expected, with light winds and a maximum temperature of 19°C.

Today’s Weather: Initially, the weather will be clear across the country. From midday onwards, clouds will develop, with periods of denser cloud cover, mainly in the Ionian, western, and southern mainland areas, as well as Crete. Winds will be variable in the west and Macedonia, with speeds of 3 Beaufort. In the rest of the country, winds will come from the north at 3-5 Beaufort, with gusts of up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Temperatures will increase slightly, reaching 18-20°C in most areas, and possibly reaching 21°C locally in the mainland and Dodecanese.

Weekend Forecast

Saturday: In eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the northeastern Aegean, the weather will remain generally clear. In the rest of the country, expect periods of light cloud cover, which may occasionally thicken, particularly in the Ionian, western and southern mainland, and Crete. Winds will be light in the west, coming from the southeast at up to 3 Beaufort, while in the eastern parts, winds will come from the north at 3-4 Beaufort, with gusts of up to 5 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Temperatures will slightly drop in some regions, with maximums reaching 18-19°C, and up to 20°C in some parts of the mainland and Dodecanese.

Sunday: The weather will be mostly sunny, with some cloud cover, especially in the islands of the eastern Aegean, the Cyclades, and Dodecanese until midday. During the evening hours, visibility will be slightly reduced in the western parts of Greece. Winds will be light, varying between 2-3 Beaufort, with northerly winds in the Aegean at 3-5 Beaufort.

Temperatures will remain fairly consistent, with no significant change.

Looking Ahead: The first half of March will continue with unusually warm temperatures for the season. Temperatures across Greece are expected to rise further, reaching as high as 25°C in some areas. It’s a great time to enjoy the spring-like weather while it lasts!
