Papastavrou: Tender for hydrocarbon exploration is expected this week

The third and last ministerial decision on the international tender for the right to explore and exploit hydrocarbons in marine areas south of Crete (“South of Crete 1” and “South of Crete 2”) will be issued this week, Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, said on Tuesday speaking to ERTNews.

The aim, he said, is to complete the tender by the end of June, so that it can be ratified by Parliament before the end of 2025.
