Properties valued at up to 500,000 euros that are insured against earthquakes, fires, and floods for the entire duration of 2024 will receive a 20% discount, double the 10% offered last year.
The 2.3% rate is more than twice the estimated European Union growth (1%) and that of the eurozone (0.9%), according to figures published by Eurostat on Friday. Based on those data, on an annual basis, only seven countries have a higher growth rate than Greece.

The decision came after a meeting of the Interministerial Committee for Strategic Investments, led by Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos. The meeting also included Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis, Culture Minister Lina Mendoni, State Minister Makis Voridis, and Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.
