Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Katerina Sakellaropoulou held their last meeting at the Presidential Palace this morning, as her term in office ends in three days.
Greek Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis recently spoke by phone with Patriarch John of Antioch and All the East to address the ongoing crisis in Syria, according to a report from Orthodox Times.
The motion of no confidence against the government was rejected by the Parliament.
Today, President Nikos Christodoulides is traveling to Athens to meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The meeting is set for noon at the Maximou Mansion, prior to the expanded discussions on the Cyprus issue, which are scheduled for March 17 and 18 in Geneva.
Political leaders are set to deliver their final speeches before a crucial roll-call vote, with the entire progressive bloc and independent centre-left MPs expected to support the motion.
"In 15 months, we have managed to make progress on many issues we have been discussing for years," the minister underlined, referring to the cancer patient registry, which is a valuable tool for patients and doctors, as it can help them to better treat cancer.
