Bookings have been made from an impressive 112 countries, each contributing at least one reservation, and domestic tourism is also on the rise. Greek travelers booked 12.6% more stays compared to last year’s Easter, highlighting a robust rebound in internal demand.
Today and tomorrow are also expected to be the peak of the Easter outings. According to sources in the ferry market, bookings are running at about the same level as last year. From today until Good Friday, in fact, the occupancy rate on most routes for the Cyclades is 100%, while for the islands of the North Aegean, Crete and the Dodecanese it is about 60%.
Speaking on Parapolitika radio (90.1 FM) during the “Ekini ki Ego” program with journalists Thanassis Fouskidis and Stella Gadona, Voridis declared that the return of individuals who are not entitled to remain in Greece is a “fundamental pillar” of national migration policy. “Greece is not a country of uncontrollable entry and stay,” he stated.
Dendias called the meeting "fruitful and candid, in the framework of our long-standing, traditional bonds, common values, shared trust and mutual respect," saying it had reaffirmed "that Greece and France are close allies and friends and share the same perception regarding the developments in Europe and the wider region".
Despite this, the BoG maintained its forecast for the growth rate of the Greek economy in 2025 unchanged at 2.3%, a performance much higher than the average of the eurozone
“Any further resurgence in inflation or inflation expectations could delay or even halt the process of monetary policy normalization, worsening financial conditions and growth momentum,” Stournaras, who is governor of the Bank of Greece, said at the Greek central bank’s annual shareholders’ meeting.
